No need for tax cuts once we axe carbon price: Hockey
THE Coalition has confirmed it will 'unwind' personal tax cuts if they were part of a package to compensate households for the carbon tax.Asked about the government's option of using income tax cuts to shield low- and middle-income earners from a carbon price, the shadow treasurer, Joe Hockey, said: "We will repeal the carbon tax … so we will unwind the compensation because you don't need it if you don't have the carbon tax."
